The University of Delhi will be releasing total five cut-off lists this
year for the undergraduate courses in the general category. The first
cut-off, scheduled to release on 24 June 2014, will commence the
admission procedure for the academic year 2014-15, while the last
cut-off will be declared on 10 July. After the release of each cut-off,
the students will have a period of three days to take the final call and
complete the enrolment process.
Eliminating the first-come-first-serve admission procedure, the Delhi
University (DU) has relieved the students from one of the admission
anxieties. As per the new notification on the undergraduate admission
policy for 2014-15 issued by the administration, this admission season
will not support the hustle of running to the admission counters for
adding your name in the admission list of the desired college. If a
student is eligible to be admitted in a respective college after the
release of the cut-off lists, and if he/she has submitted the admission
form and the university enrolment form along with the admission fee,
sooner or later, within the stipulated time, the student will be
allotted a seat in the course as filled by the student after the
verification of the certificates and documents.
However, the student is not allowed to take admission in more than one course, at one time. If the university finds out his/her admission in more than one course, then he/she will be barred from taking admission in any of the college of the university.
For the convenience of the students, the administration has initiated a swift procedure to give back all the documents to the students who decide to retreat from one college and desire to file admission in another college, or in that case for any personal reason.
Also, the administration has arranged for particular admission assistance teams and monitoring committees to help students and their parents in knowing more about the colleges and courses during the admission process.
